I don't know what's happened to my mind lately, but I've fallen in love with bands like The Beatles, The Ramones and the Runaways. I watched The Beatles movie 'Help!' I hired out from the library yesterday, and it's fantastic. Sure, you don't know what's happening half the time, or why they're doing the things they are, but the script is so brilliant! Some of the things they say are just so.. they just seem beyond their time, and I wonder if people back then understood their humour. I've also developed a bit of a crush on the 60's version of George Harrison.. I know he's been dead for about 10 years, and that he started to resemble Jesus at some point in the 70's, but in the 60's he had this boyish charm that's kind of hard to resist:
Yeah, he's my favourite Beatle. Ringo Starr, despite having the best stage name ever, has a large and very distracting nose. John and Paul, well.. I dislike their taste in women.
So if you ever get the chance, hire out 'Help!' and rejoice the wonderful humour of The Beatles in the 60's ♥
